TANGO Gambia

About Us

The Gambia’s umbrella body for NGOs is the Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (TANGO), which was created in 1983. The Association was created by a coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in order to eliminate duplication of efforts and to reduce friction and competitiveness among NGOs. The founders also wanted to make the most of the resources gathered by NGOs for relief and social development by collaborating, networking, and mutually reinforcing each other’s efforts.
