The foundation’s vision is to play a key role in transforming informal settlements and other high-priority poverty areas into secure and economically viable communities that offer possibilities for education, employment, business, and recreation to both young and old people. Viva’s goal is to effectively meet a community’s felt and expressed needs by establishing a secure hub within an informal settlement and basing it on traditional values, such as the ‘village’ model.
