Aspire Rwanda was founded in 2009 as a non-profit organization to help underprivileged and marginalized children, youth, men, and women. They are given practical and marketable skills to help them become self-sufficient and break the cycle of poverty. The founder, Peace Ruzage, discovered these needs among women in her Gisozi area. She opened her patio to 300 women every day, where they formed friendships, encouraged one another, and exchanged information to help them get out of poverty.
