The Hôtel des Mille Collines, which opened in 1973 as the country’s premier grand hotel, is unquestionably Rwanda’s most famous hotel. The hotel, which is located in Kigali’s core business center, offers beautiful views of the city’s hills while indulging in gastronomic delights ranging from casual to fine dining, foreign cuisine to local specialty dishes. For a long time, the hotel has been known for promoting local artists as well as Rwandan culture.
