About Us

The American School of Kinshasa (TASOK) is an international, private, autonomous K-12 school in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, for students aged 3 to 18. The American School of Kinshasa offers pupils creative and tailored educational challenges and opportunities that promote diversity and prepare them to be self-sufficient global community leaders. Despite a difficult political climate, TASOK, which was founded in 1961, has persevered with dignity. Despite these challenges, TASOK has maintained its long-standing tradition of providing a rigorous academic high school education in the United States.
