Kivu International School
About Us
Kivu International School is a school complex located in the east of DR Congo, in the city of Goma in the Keshero district. Covering an area of about one hectare on the shores of Lake Kivu, the school offers recreational and relaxation areas, cultural spaces and a large number of classrooms as well as rooms for the teaching staff. The founding members of KIS are Bismack Biyombo, Vanessa Jados and Dario Merlo. With the support of a board of directors and pedagogical advisors, they determine the major strategic orientations, approve budgets and ensure the recruitment of the school’s executives. The school’s Board of Directors meets 3 times a year. The school is managed on a daily basis by a head of school, assisted by an administrative/financial team. KIS attaches particular importance to the opinion of parents and invites them to participate in the life of the school through collaboration with the teaching staff and the organization of events (school parties), shows, extracurricular activities, trips, etc.). The committee meets regularly with the management and a general assembly is held once a year, during the month of September.
