FINADEV (Financial Development) is a microfinance institution in Benin that provides financing to the non-formal sector. Microloans, business loans, solidarity loans, and consumer loans are among the lending products offered by the institution, which are tailored to each client group. FINADEV is active in Benin’s major economic hubs in the south, as well as semi-rural areas in the country’s north and west. With the financial backing of FMO, IFC, and Horus Development Finance, an international microfinance firm, FINADEV Benin was created in 2000 when Financial Bank Benin, a prominent national bank, chose to spin-off its microfinance services into a separate company.
