Minchin & Kelly
About Us
Spencer Augustus Minchin founded Minchin & Kelly in Mafikeng, South Africa, in 1890. In 1919, Reginald Kelly joined the firm, and the firm was renamed “Minchin & Kelly.” Minchin & Kelly established an office in Gaborone, the new capital after the Bechuanaland Protectorate became the Republic of Botswana in 1966. The firm has been a significant factor in Botswana’s legal environment since its inception, with important historic achievements including registering the first title deed, advising the Colonial Government, participating in the law revision committee, and establishing Botswana’s first private township.
