Spencer Augustus Minchin founded Minchin & Kelly in Mafikeng, South Africa, in 1890. In 1919, Reginald Kelly joined the firm, and the firm was renamed “Minchin & Kelly.” Minchin & Kelly established an office in Gaborone, the new capital after the Bechuanaland Protectorate became the Republic of Botswana in 1966.
