About Us

KULIMA Mozambique was founded in 1984, during the Civil War, together with a French NGO (Bioforce) in order to create better conditions and resettlement for refugees in areas in need. On May 3, 1990, KULIMA became recognized by the Ministry of Cooperation as a National NGO and in 1995 it was legally recognized by the Ministry of Justice, to officially operate throughout the whole country. While still working on projects to improve the conditions of the people affected by the floods, KULIMA continues to work in rural areas to transform Emergency programs into development programs or in other words, making short-term goals become long-term activities against fighting poverty.
