American School of Yaounde (ASOY) is a non-sectarian, independent, coeducational school that offers a rigorous US-style education as well as the IB Diploma Program (DP) in years 11 and 12, the Middle Years Program (MYP) in grades 6-10, and the Primary Years Program (PYP) in grades Prek-3-5. ASOY values its worldwide academic and student body’s broad cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and religious variety. ASOY was established in 1964 with the goal of providing an English-medium comprehensive program particularly for American families living in Yaounde, Cameroon, Central Africa.
